The Cactus

“My cactus is dying.
We have had it for about six years, and it almost reaches the ceiling, it’s that thin type. But it got ill and now it is slowly dying away.
In a way, it has been really important to me, and I thought that if I had a boyfriend and he came to our house, he shouldn’t be shorter than the cactus.”

“Remember to take cuttings from it.”

“Yeah, I’ll try to save it. That would then become its sister.”

“As if it had been your best friend.”

“Well, it has!"

“It has seen different phases of your life.”

“It can see when you change clothes. Think about that, the plants are staring as you get changed.”
